So if you think of the starry sky, then of course it looks as though you see a lot of let’s say studded bits of light all over the place. If you could really get into the consciousness of those beings whose body the planets are and the stars are and the galaxies, then you’d discover whole dimension of reality intead of the flattened universe in which we have enclosed ourselves in our limited purview. And so at some point in your meditation, you, somehow your higher consciousness can reach into the beings, the archangels and angels, those beings whose bodies come through as light to us on planet
Earth. And even the planet itself is a being of light. Crystallized, gelled as a physical, what we call, matter.
And so, then furthermore, just imagine that universe is looking at us instead of we are looking at that universe. Then you can see the relationship between the sparkling of a star and the trembling of a flower. So that sets our consciousness into a cosmic and transcendental attunement rather than trying to fight within our own limitations, using our will in order to try to awaken. That doesn’t work that way.
And so what we mean by awakening is the way that the insight of the whole universe is converged or is focalized in our perspicacity so that we develop a deep insight into all things. So that it is not our understanding but the whole universe is awakening in what we call our understanding and that gives us a deep sense of meaningfulness.
The eyes are the instruments for the shunting of light from the stars into the physical world.
