As you exhale, always return to the concentration on the bottom of the flame that is red, incandescent. And then, we are gradually moving up from one chakra to the next. So the next chakra is the solar plexus. Of course there are many more chakras than I’m describing here but I’m trying to simpify it a little bit.
The next chakra, manipurum, the solar plexus and that’s where one feels pain and exultation, anxiety. It regulates the passage from inner to outer, from the subliminal levels of our being to the existential modes of our being. The door opens up from outside to inside and then from inside to outside. We’ve already seen that.
Now it carries a very intense energy from inside towards outside. And therefore it assumes the color of orange, madeira orange, as one sees sometimes in the sky at dawn or sunset. A wonderful orange, intense orange. It can be rather pale of course, but if you concentrate on the tremendous energy that is emerging here, then it assumes a very vital orange color, at least that’s what it seems like.
Now the kind of energy that it displays is not the electromagnetic energy of the second chakra that the subtle body, the electromagnetic field. No, it is of a different nature which I think I may have referred to and that is called the scalar level of energy that could be described as a tug of war. For example, we have two teams of people pulling on either sides of rope and if the forces are equal, then there’s a tremendous potential power in the rope. But it is not active. So it’s a state of equilibrium.
So let’s say the solar plexus transfers this potential energy into active energy as you shift your attention from the solar plexus to the heart center. And hence that very bright orange color. It is, as Pir Murshid says, the force that moves the stars and that we have in ourselves. But in its initial form and in its initial condition, it is what the Sufis call kemal. Latent. Virtual. And then it becomes jelal. Active. Powerful.
So I would suggest now that while at first when you exhale, you concentrate on the color red at the bottom of the spine. As soon as you start inhaling, then you pass into view the second chakra in particular the solar plexus. And now keep on toggling between the solar plexus and the heart chakra.
